What does a BMR calculator do?
This is the most comprehensive BMR calculator available. We built it from scratch so that you can get the most accurate picture possible of your BMR. It works in two stages. The first stage will calculate your basal metabolic rate (BMR) based on the data you have already. If you have had a DEXA scan or Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) test with us here at My Vital Metrics, then that will give you the most accurate results.
After the first stage, you will then be asked a few questions about the nature of your work, the frequency and intensity of your workouts, how long you sleep, and how many steps on average you get per day. This data will be used to calculate your total daily energy needs or TDEE. This number can be used as a starting point for any goals you might have for gaining or losing mass.
